The 1992/93 season was The Rocket’s debut campaign on the pro tour, and he was in outstanding form, producing a record 38-match winning streak.

At the age of 17 years and 358 days he became the youngest ever winner of a professional ranking tournament when defeating Stephen Hendry 10-6 in the UK Championship final.

O’Sullivan set the record for the fastest ever competitive maximum break at the 1997 World Championships, potting all the balls in an incredible 5 minutes and 20 seconds against Mick Price.

The Essex star became world number one for the first time in 2002, and has spent five seasons as the highest ranked player on the planet.

The five-time World Snooker champion has never lost in the final at the Crucible Theatre. With career earnings of over £7 million, he is second behind Stephen Hendry on snooker’s all-time prize-money list.

The Rocket is also second behind the Scot on the list of players who have made competitive century breaks.
